Suggestions for my Itinerary?
Hello everyone, I'm about to spend ten days solo in Switzerland. I'd like your thoughts on how to improve my itinerary. My goals are to enjoy my time absorbing the culture, architecture, food (would like local places, though I've made two reservations), beer, coffee, hiking and libraries / bookstores in the areas I'll be staying in. I don't have too many budgetary constraints, if it's a value and adds memories. I've acquired an SBB travel pass for the length of time I'm there. I've used it for 50% off in some places and intend to use it for bike rental. I appreciate your time and suggestions in advance.
Geneva, one and a half days: Altstadt, St. Pierre Cathedral, Bibliotheque Geneve, Carouge Market Saturday morning, Lindt (though the museum is sold out already). I have no food plans at the moment.
Lausanne, one afternoon: Altstadt, the Cathedral, Hermitage Museum, La Mise en Biere
Bern, one evening and morning: Very much looking forward to the Einstein Museum, Old Town Loop, the Library and dinner at Kornhauskeller
Lucerne, two full days: Mt Pilatus train, Cogwheel to Kreins, Paragliding, Old Town, Lion Monument, Lake Lucerne cruise, dinner at Wirsthause Taube. Should I fit in Niederbauen Kulm on day two? No other food plans in town.
Lauterbrunnen, one day: Stechelberg Waterfall Walk, renting a bicycle for some long country rides. I was planning to eat at the Sonnenberg hotel restaurant. Should I scratch my plans and make room / spend money for Jungfraujoch?
Zermatt, two full days: 5 Lakes Walk, Matterhorn Glacier Walk and Old Town. No food plans at this moment.
Again, thanks for your thoughts. I'm hoping your experience can maximize my time in your home.
Edit: I am there this week and next.
