Does notifications work on rear-display?
Hi,
I thought of posting this question here as I couldn't find a proper answer. I have my eyes on Xiaomi 17 pro and 18 pro. The main reason I opted for them is the nice rear display among other things. However, I would like to confirm about the rear display activity. As I know 17 pro has HyperOS 3 and 18 has HyperOS 4. I would like to know which model supports the following cases;
Case 1:
Phone lying face down → WhatsApp / Email arrives → rear screen lights up → I can see who sent it and read the message without turning the phone over
Case 2:
Phone lying face down → WhatsApp / Email arrives → I open the notification on the rear screen → read the complete message → scroll through a long message/conversation → possibly reply
I prefer Case 2 but case 1 also fine as long as I can do everything except replying. Also, in case 17 pro by default does not support this, would upgrading to HyperOS 4 solve this?
