Am I the only one who's happy with Boosteroid?
I'm based in Brussels (Belgium), so I can only speak for my experience here.
I've been using Boosteroid for about 4–5 months now. Honestly, at the beginning I wasn't impressed at all. I was coming from GeForce NOW and, thanks to a promo, I actually had both subscriptions at the same time. The difference was pretty obvious back then. Input latency wasn't great, whether I used the Windows app or the browser.
When my GeForce NOW subscription ended (couldn't afford to renew it 😅), I decided to keep using Boosteroid instead of going back.
Over the last month or two though... something definitely changed. The latency is now honestly really good. It feels very close to GeForce NOW for me.
I also always switch to H.265 and the highest 16:9 resolution, and the image quality has been excellent. I've recently played 007 First Light, The Last of Us Part II, and God of War Ragnarök, and I've had a great experience with all of them.
Sure, you can tell it's not running on the equivalent of a 5080 like GFN Ultimate, but in actual gameplay it's been much better than I expected.
What keeps me from going back to GeForce NOW, though, is Boosteroid's game library. It simply has way more of the games I actually want to play, and that's become a huge advantage for me.
My only real complaint is the Windows app. It never remembers my video settings, so every time I launch a game I have to enable H.265 and set the resolution again. It's not a huge deal, but it's annoying enough that I hope they fix it.
Overall, I'm actually pretty happy with Boosteroid now. A few months ago I probably wouldn't have recommended it, but today? At least from Belgium, it's been a really solid experience.
