1930 VC - how did I do?

I bought this today for 1600EUR, movement is original 400989 (ChatGPT says this came out around 1927), dial and movement are VC but it was assembled in 1930 in a non VC 18k gold case. Strap is also from 1930 (not VC) made in lizard leather. I love this watch and have no intention of selling but I just want to make sure I didn’t get my face ripped off. So how did I do?

Thanks in advance

I have a few solid gold (12k/14k/18k) mechanical pencils / dip pens from the Victorian era (late 1800s, maybe early 1900s). The gold has significantly appreciated and I would like to sell. But I have no idea how or who buys them, it would be such a shame to melt them down. Advice on the best way to sell would be much appreciated.
Thanks :)
