UPDATED: I found out the Pixel 8 model I have does not support mmWave. My husband's S24+ supports mmWave and works just fine.

I have a question about the Verizon 5g ultra wideband simplicity plan. I switched to Verizon 10 days ago and have poor 5g everywhere and when in LTE no Internet access. I live in Florida on the Gulf Coast, not a rural area

I have a Pixel 8 model G9BQD and previously had a T-Mobile plan Magenta 55+ with no 5g issues at all.

Using a network and signal strength app, it shows I have a 4G SIM. And the signal strength is low.

Does this sound correct or should I have a 5G SIM? I'm feeling a little distrustful about Verizon.

What's going on?
