Hey! So, I recently made a cover of a song I like (using synthv teto), and I had a few questions about copyright related stuff. the cover uses new vocals (obviously), but includes the original instrumental (i just grabbed a karaoke version off youtube), I'm assuming I obviously couldnt monetize it (which i didnt plan on) but could I even release it at all on youtube in its current state? and if I did, is that something thats frowned upon? I notice most covers have their own original instrumental, which im not opposed to making for myself, but I really like the original instrumental. Is there a "right" way to go about it? what are my options? thank you. (I live in the US if that matters)
