Hey, I caught one fish and had two get away within two feet of the dock. I am using a barbed fly that’s a number 10. Am I not setting the hook? I was annoyed, but had a good time. One thing is I may have had my rod even with the lake instead of lifted up, but im not sure. I know you all weren’t there to witness it, but any advice to keep them on when you are ready to try net? Thanks everyone!

Right now I’m hanging a fly from a line bobber 1-3 feet from bottom and doing well. Can I do the same with a worm or should I switch to a Carolina style set up for that? Thanks! This place has a muddy bottom with some weeds.
