PS Vita refuses to believe it's not charging

Well, this is a new one. As you can see, it's not plugged in, but the charge light indicates otherwise. Pic 1 is what it looks like when I have it completely shut down. When I actually have the thing powered-on, the PS light is then purple as opposed to the proper blue as shown in Pic 2, because the orange charging-indicator light is now apparently permanent for whatever reason. I've tried to Google this; only results I get are as if the PS Vita won't shut-off, or is frozen. It's not frozen. It does power off. Everything else works properly other than the orange charge light refusing to shut off.

Anyone have any idea what I can do to correct this? I'm apprehensive about letting the battery completely, because last time I let that happen, I had to completely disassemble and reassemble the Vita, & remove and reinstall the battery to get it to accept a charge or power back on. So, I'd like to avoid that if I possibly can. Thank you.

PKGj: Why does it suck?

At downloading. Why does it particularly suck at downloading things 90% of the time? Or is it just me?

It'll be goin' along smooth, then just sit at a quarter progress bar/68mb of a download for eternity until it finally just shits-out & quits, telling me it can't download my game.

I don't mean to sound like an entitled brat. The few times when it actually works, it's amazing, and I appreciate the wizards and developers who work hard to create these wonderful things, and trick-out the Vita into an awesome piece of kit.

But... it's really annoying how slow and often just plain non-funtional it is, feeling like a hamster on a wheel. And it's not even like I can play some other cool games on my Vita in the meantime, because downloading Vita titles via PKGj makes my entire Vita Live Area OS derp-y and choppy, and sluggish and freeze-prone.

So I just have to stare at the same green bar refusing to grow any further than a certain percentage before error-messaging me.

And no, my wifi service is not the issue.

So, if any experts of any kind out there are aware of anything set-up-wise on my end, or any other insight into what's responsible for the issue, please smarten me up & lemme know. I will be eternally grateful to you.

Other than that, please someone fix and stabilize this thing.

Retroflow Menu PSP Weird Cache Issue

I'm using Retroflow Launcher, and having weird issues with certain PSP games. Crazy Taxi Fare Wars, for example. The game will initially load fine, but as soon as I select an option in the opening menu -- to load Crazy Taxi 1 or Crazy Taxi 2, in this instance -- at some point in the loading process, it just kicks me out into booting the Adreniline menu, an environment where the game works normally. And essentially, I'm having this same issue with a lot of compilation games, such as the PSP Midway & Capcom Classic Collections.

I've tried trouble shooting the issue a bit -- Reinstalled Retroflow, scanned the games again to refresh the cache, enabled extended memory in Adrenaline Menu, ensured proper loading pathways, etc. -- and have been unsuccessful in correcting the issue. Anyone have any idea? Thanks.

I'm trying to update my SD card, and pretty sure I did everything correctly... wrote zzblank image, formatted to exFAT, 64 kilobytes. I unhid all the hidden files and copy/pasted the contents of my old SD to my new one, but when I inserted it into the SD2Vita, it immediately tells me it needs to format the SD upon boot-up. Anyone have any idea...?

Thanks.
