the ufc should allow atleast 10 mins of the press conference to be fan questions, fans will always ask better questions than "what would a win mean to you"

people dont seem to understand what mma math means

saying arman beats him because of the bsd performance is NOT mma math

mma math is something like bsd beat ruffy, paddy beat bsd, so paddy beats ruffy

there is no relation in bsd and arman, its just an example of a superios grappler and how does ruffy fare against one

memes aside, this is the approximate size difference between islam and ian, islam is slightly taller than belal

arman opens up as a huge favourite over ruffy, expect it to shift to -600 as we approach the event

i think charles pulled put due to his friend passing, but boy is arman gonna brutalise ruffy, its gonna be even easier than the dan hooker fight

ian saying strickland gave him the blueprint to beat islam is one of the dumbest things ive ever heard

islam and khamzat are nothing alike, khamzat is a brute wrestler wifh no cardio

you should rewatch the fight, strickland didnt really "stop" khamzats wrestling, khamzat simply wrestled less after gassing out badly, he went 9/13 on takedowns

islam isnt the type of guy u wanna attempt risky scrambles with, because of his submission ability, and also he wont gas out if you scramble, more likely that you gas out cuz islam is more technical than khamzat and wouldn't use brute force to keep u down

cleanest win ever imo, dominated round 1, finished him in round 2, stopped a huge winning streak, and charles won his next fight in style

the ufc scrapped the bmf im crine son

nah real talk tho how can you just scrap a belt because the fight was boring thats so silly

ik the fight was boring but the ufc is lowkey being very unprofessional by scrapping the belt

warm take: prates didnt lose to garry because of a "bad gameplan" ian is simply the better striker and prates couldnt find openings

garry outstruck prates every single round, lost the last one because he gassed out due to no camp

prates couldn't get his rhythm going cuz garry would punish every entry, despite prates having a longer reach ian utilises his reach better and forced prates to come in and punished him for it

its fairly ridiculous to say prates wins a rematch 1 year after getting 49 46ed against off the couch ian

has there ever been a fighter who cleared out the entire top 5 before fighting for the title

there is only 2 fights in history where both fighters were on a double digit win streak in the ufc, islam makhachev has fought the best of the best at their absolute best, goated stuff

islams win over renato moicano is underrated, we have had several champs/ championship level fighters struggle with lower level fighters

islam disposed of #9 moicano in round 1, pereira went to war with #8 khalil losing 2 rounds, pantoja wenr life and death with erceg (outside the top 10), ankalaev took 5 rounds with guskov, bjsping almost lost to hendo outside the top 1p

its clear that when the champ or championship level fighter fights someone lower in the ranks its not super common to get a finish in r1, what islam did was not the bare minimum, its a good win
