Evidence retention - Photos of communication and admissibility

Hi all, I am based in England, and have been working with my company for about 4/5 years. I have recently filed a claim to ET.

The R is my case has shown serious signs of bad faith and dishonesty. SAR was requested and most documents including own emails were redacted and other substantial files were missing. My company policy prevents record keeping of any sort of information and I am planning on leaving the company soon.

What risk in taking photos of keys communication to retain them and present them as evidence should they claim it was deleted before disclosure?

I only intend to retain communications between me, management and HR department. Nothing client or company strategy related. I'd only use them in event the R claim it was deleted or doesn't exist at disclosure stage.

What admissibility on this? What risk?

Thanks all in advance for your help :)

No updates

Hi all,

I am in England, submitted my ET1 15 days ago it was accepted pretty fast (green circle on the portal). Now I have received no further message or notification. The day I submitted my claim I received an email saying I had a new message and it was a simple banner saying it could take up to 20 days for my ET1 to be reviewed. Since then nothing.. I didnt even receive a notification to say it was accepted.. or to say it was sent to the R.. the banner has since disappeared.

I'd like to know if this is normal and/or what to expect next? Should I contact the tribunal? Wait?

Thank you so much!

Account no closing after closure?

Hi all,

Back in March 2026 I moved home. Before moving, I contacted Plusnet and was told they could not provide broadband service at my new building. As a result, they said all they could do is to close my account mid-contract without any early termination charges.

I moved out in March, printed a label through Plusnet, returned the router, and received confirmation that the account would be closed. I also have confirmation that the router was successfully received and signed (RoyalMail).

Fast forward more than 3 months and I'm still completely confused about what's going on.

My account remains open and shows a banner saying that a change is "processing". My returned router is apparently still showing as active. I keep receiving monthly bills. Every bill shows exactly the same credit balance (around £1.85 owed to me). No new charges are being added, but the account doesn't seem to be closing either.

I've retained all correspondence including, the email confirming the account closure, emails confirming there were no changes to the agreed closure, proof of the successful return of the router.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, how long did it take to resolve and what finally got Plusnet to close the account properly?

ET1 Information

Hi all,

I'm from England, and I have a few questions.

I am finishing my ET1, 6 claims in total, I am LiP with some knowledge of the law as I work in regulations and compliance.

I found that exercise quite difficult particularly because there are no real guidances on how or what is really needed under the particular of claim.

Currently, my particular of claim is about 20 pages long. I have read in many places it'd not exceed 5 pages but I have also read that the judge prefers concrete examples, such as on XX, XX did this in order to show that R broke the law.

In consideration of my claims, the timespan and the amount of people involved, it is very difficult for me to reduce it to 5 pages.

I made sure to avoid repetitions and to cross-reference were needed.

Now my questions are:

In consideration that a witness statement will follow, what amount of examples are expected?

If I do not put an event on my ET1, am I still able to add it later (witness statement, etc) and use it as part of my pleading?

For the second question, I am quite confident the answer should be a yes, but I am not from the UK and in my country when raising a claim we must ensure most is on it at the very first stage, which causes some confusion.

I'd be grateful if anyone has advices, examples, or any tips!

Hi all,

I'd really appreciate some advice regarding ACAS EC certificates and ET1.

My initial EC form was filled months ago. Employer refused to engage. ACAS issued the certificate. On the day they issued, I realised my company name and address were correct, but not legally referenced.

This means initial report refer my company as Company Name, rather than their full legal name, Company Name Ltd. The address is correct but it misses the flat number lets say.

I reported to the conciliator who advised he couldn't amend and advised requesting a new certificate.

I did, however, I now wonder how this would work ET deadline wise. While the first report clearly advised the issue was raised months ago, the new certificate is dated at a later date.

What would you advise in such case?

I am worried one of my claim missed deadline based on second certificate date. However, even if I under the two identified issue might he deemed minor I don't want to potentially take the risk.

Is it possible to add the 2 certificate in the ET1?

Thanks for your help all!

Hi all,

Early conciliation failed today, and ACAS issued certificate. Company name is not written in full, address is also slightly incomplete.

Let's say my full company name is Komoro Limited, they simply added it as Komoro. For the address, it'd be flat 1, address, postcode etc. But they simply put address, postcode.

I heard that ET can strike claims on this kind of issues. I have sent an email to my conciliator as soon as I received the certificate, but I also heard there is nothing they can do once it is sent.

Can you please advise if this may cause major issue or if I need to make a new request, etc?

Thanks all
