I have been thinking about reading some novels/Light Novels. I have narrowed it down to Crime And Punishment, The Brothers Karamazov, or Garden of Sinners(LN)

I actually have a question regarding Umineko. I tried playing the Visual Novel, but it's slow pacing is a bit too much for me. I am enjoying the story but honestly I don't have enough time to read the entire VN for 120+ hrs or so. I started the manga, now although I accept that the VN is a more immersive experience due to the fantastic voice acting and music, the manga is perfectly acceptable for me with its faster pacing and enjoyable art. Is the VN really that good that I have to play it?. I am currently in Episode 2, so shall I continue to read the manga or is it absolutely necessary to play the VN
Just completed Requiem for Innocence and it might be a hot take but I probably enjoyed it even more than the Base game. It's true that the plot wasn't as thrilling as THIFM but the characters and their dynamics hit me way harder.
Jacopo Bearzatti might be a top 3 character for me. His and Morganas Dynamic was mentioned in the the base game but the way they explore it here takes both the characters on another level. His rise to power through the revolution and then his eventual descent through paranoia was just perfectly executed. His parallels with Barnier was really great which I didn't expect. And the final conclusion of the whole VN was amazing.
One thing if I had to criticize about it would be Ceren. Her backstory just didn't make sense to me. Her Psychology is extremely wierd and I just couldn't understand what her point was.
Overall 9.7/10
Along with fata Morgana, both together are 10/10

Is there any other VNs you would like to recommend other than Umineko and FMDM that is. Uminekos pacing was too slow for me, I would rather read the manga. As for FMDM I read it's 1st chapter and it is just too graphic and those scenes were pretty unnecessary imo.
I have heard Dies Irae is pretty good. I also thought about Cross Channel as I enjoy slice of life from time to time, but apparently it dosen't have any proper translation.
