UPDATE: Got prescribed Cromolyn

Hii, I posted almost couple weeks ago after finally being prescribed cromolyn.

ORIGINAL POST

This medication is absolutely saving my life and I surprisingly tolerated the titration up to 4 ampules a day with not much trouble! It has been like my entire life since i could just eat or do anything without having to worry so much about rapid bloating, discomfort, mental short circuiting, awful nasal drip, etc etc

I am very ecstatic that somehow its working to help everything for me (the brain fog, my central nervous system, fatigue, sleep) i am actually so relieved and it’s been too long..

Wishing that this continues 🤞

Got prescribed Cromolyn 🥹

Not diagnosed formally but have been seeing an immunologist who has experience with MCAS as of April. I spent 2 years just trying to get a doctor to listen to me or give me a referral to someone who can. I am diagnosed with hEDS and even with extensive family history with every clear sign i had such a hard time getting a doctor to take me seriously.

New immuno doc started by upping my allegra to 2 pills morning and night which practically eliminated any skin issues ive suffered from for YEARS. It also greatly improved how sensitive my airways are to airborne triggers.
After that everything was just post nasal drip, rapid abdominal bloating from like everything i consume (including water), pretty much all the GI symptoms.

So after she had me do some testing and results came back relatively normal, she still is treating it as if it was MCAS because there really is no other explanation she had.

I took my first dose tonight and it definitely cleared up my throat after suffering all day since i ate, this is a huge win for me and I hope to report back that it alleviates the struggles with food!!
