Coming out as asexual practice/advice

Hi,

First of all, I want to say thanks to everyone here that posts anything or asks any questions because i've been lurking for quite some time and reading other people's experience makes me feel like im not alone. I am so grateful to you all!

Okay so here's my reason for posting. I have only ever came out as asexual to 1 person but part of that is i didnt really understand it myself. Im a man in my 40s and married. I also have a history of sexual relationships so nobody from my past probably would believe me. My spouse is the only person that knows and she is completely supportive. Im still hetero romantic but since im married its pretty much irrelevant.

I want to come out to more people but I feel really strange about coming out for no practical reason. I dont have a lot of close friends but I do have a lot of acquaintances that are generally alternative lifestyle and a mix of gay and straight but I know anybody else thats openly ace.

Does anyone have any similar experience and could offer any insight? Appreciate any advice and appreciate you all for being you! Thank you!
