My passport expires late this summer. When I saw that there was a chance of getting a passport with Trump's face on it I decided to renew early.

Mine was eligible for online renewal. As I'd heard that many have had problems doing it online because of the photo requirements I went to District Camera in Burke and had the photo taken ($25 and they e-mail it to you in an hour or so). Photo was accepted. Submitted the application online on May 1st. Yesterday, May 9th, the new passport arrived (without Trump's face!).

SO, something does work.
