Hi everyone, hoping someone who has made the Sophie Hood can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Where I am: I've just started the right side of the hood section. I had to add a few extra stitches to get the correct width, so my numbers differ slightly from the pattern. Before the highlighted section, I had 50 stitches, placed 3 i-cord edge stitches on hold, and began with 47 on the needle.
The rows I'm working:
- Row 1 (WS): Place first 3 sts on holder, knit to last 3 sts, slip last 3 sts purl-wise wyif
- Row 2 (RS): Knit across
- Row 3 (WS): Knit to last 3 sts, slip last 3 sts purl-wise wyif
After working Rows 1-3 once and then Rows 2-3 another two times, I'm back up to 50 stitches. Somehow I've gained 3 back and I have no idea how. This hasn't been an issue anywhere else in the pattern.
Has anyone else hit this snag, or can anyone spot what might be going wrong? Photo of my work attached... you can see where the i-cord was placed on hold with the red marker on the left.
