Watching S1 for the first time with Brittany pushing to have a second child with Jax; pregnant Janet coming across like an inherently awful person; Jesse saying if Nia cheats he’d be able to tell Isabella her mum fucked up etc.

More broadly, shows like this obviously showcase the worst people in the most toxic situations but I can’t help think about the very real, innocent children being brought into these unstable environments to be raised and influenced by narcissists who seem to view kids as an accessory.

I know, not a groundbreaking take. Lots of unfit parents exist, lots of children are born into horrible situations. Maybe I’m more sensitive from knowing good people who struggle to have children.
