Make this make sense

Hello,

Yesterday i attended a job faire hosted by an employment group in my city. It was a Tim Hortons job faire as theres is like 17 stores in the city.

Anyways, I have 3 years of experience as a supervisor and 4 months ago left my old employer (different franchise owner) and figured since i cant find anything else i will try to get back into the industry, albeit with a different owner since my previous employer disrespected me.

Two of my former managers agreed to be my references(they had no problems with me at all), and so off I went.

during my interview i explained my situation and tried to leave out as few details as possible so that he would get the full picture. I frequently let him know that I am already fully trained, eager, and excited to get back into this industry (yes, i know thats a fucking joke to most of you) because for some reason i actually enjoy it and am good at it.

This man was very polite, and very understanding. He even shook my hand and looked me right in the eye and said I will call you by the end of the day, whether or not we pick you.

While waiting, i heard 3 different people say they got the job after coming out of the interview room, and were then told where to go for their first day of training etc. I figured it would be a no brainer for a person with my experience and eagerness to get hired if they were hiring all brand new trainees.

Anyways, fast forward to today and i never got a call back. I have sent an email to the employment group, left a voicemail, and still haven't heard back. I was even tempted to call the owner group and explain but whats the fucking point.

How does it make sense that someone with 3 years of leadership experience whos already trained, willing to work, and eager to work, will get passed over brand new people who will be gone within 3 months due to the jobs retention rate.

I wish I could report this franchise to corporate, its clearly being mismanaged, but thats honestly just really petty of me and i likely will just end up homeless now since it was my last chance to find something in time before its too late.
