Is anyone else annoyed with YouTube’s new zoom behavior on laptop touchpads?
Before, pinch zoom would zoom the whole screen/page normally, but now it zooms the video itself while keeping the aspect ratio, making it super cropped and blurry so you still can’t actually see details clearly.

Even worse, if you accidentally zoom one reel/short, the next ones stay zoomed too unless you reset it. Other video sites handle zoom way better.

Also still hate how they removed the Watch Later and Add to Playlist buttons and hid them inside the 3-dot menu for no reason — it just makes everything slower and more annoying. They removed this before, brought it back, and now seem to be pushing it again.

My younger sister studies in a private college. She was outside our house area wearing her college dress.. Also she just came back from college.. n went to a nearby shop with her friend to buy some food🫠 n make an online payment using her phone.

A DI from the college saw them outside n confiscated both of their phones, saying students are not allowed to use mobile phones while wearing college dress. They were outside the college premises, not inside campus.

Now the college ko administrator is saying

- parents/guardians must come to get the phone back

- they may not return it unless exam grades improve

I am her guardian n I went there to talk respectfully, but they kept saying “it’s college rules” n “everyone knows it.”

I understand schools can make rules inside campus, but can they control students everywhere outside school just because they are wearing a uniform? Can they confiscate private property outside campus n keep it for academic reasons?

This is not even the first time I’ve seen this kind of thing. When I was in school, me n my friend once went to a cyber while wearing school dress after classes, n the next day school administration threatened to suspend us for a week just for going there in uniform.

It honestly feels like some private schools/colleges think students lose all personal rights once they wear a uniform.

Also, we are not rich people where losing a mobile phone is “not a big deal.” Phones are expensive n important for communication, payments, study, n safety.

So I genuinely want to ask

-Is this legally allowed in Nepal?

-Where can students/guardians complain about this?

-Has anyone else faced similar treatment from private schools or colleges?

I’m not trying to fight unnecessarily. I just genuinely want to know where student rights stand in Nepal. Also they have very shiiity rules regarding everything.. I even said yo te dadagiri vo tw.. Vaneko they replied ka dadagiri hunu yo tw rule ho.. Their rule ain't constitutional law
