I've been offered a Voluntary Departure package from my work and I've been feeling so much panic about what the best move is for my family. If I don't take it that doesn't mean my job is secure afterword and I could just get laid off. I've been heavily considering taking it and seeking a different career but the thought of starting over is scary. When I started this job I didn't have a family to think about.

Have any other Dads had a similar situation and had to start over with a new Career? Were things tough financially for a while? What was your experience like? Any advice or experience sharing would be greatly appreciated. There's family and friends I've talked to about this but I also feel that hearing experiences from people you don't know holds a lot of value as well.

Thank you.
