I’m 21 (turning 22 soon) and I’ve always had a slightly uneven hairline. The left side (first pic) looks normal, while the right side has had this shape for as long as I can remember, even as a kid. I haven’t noticed any actual recession or movement over time.
There’s MPB history in my family (dad and uncle), but they both think my hairline resembles my grandpa’s, who kept a strong hairline his whole life.
I did have a positive pull test, and I notice hairs coming out from all over my head (not just temples) when I run my hands through my hair in the shower. I’m also currently on Accutane, which I know can sometimes cause shedding.
The main thing concerning me is the thinner hairs around the temples. I’m not sure whether they’re naturally finer hairs that I’ve always had, or if they could be miniaturizing.
Does this look like early recession/miniaturization, or more like a naturally uneven hairline?
