Worth switching accommodation before term starts?

For context I am a 23 year old Canadian, who's going into their first year in the law program, and am currently booked to stay at Chamberlain towers with my cousin, I just joined the groupchats and its just all other 1st year people who are way younger then me.

I know it is only for the year and I can move second and third year but I really wanted to make friends at least a bit closer to my age lol. Does anybody who's been in chamberlain or any other accommodation have any advice on what I should do? An option I am sure I have is to call them first thing in the morning and ask for a change, but then the question would be a change to what?

I also primarily booked the chamberlain because as per my research the views are nice and the vale is supposedly a nice area. I am not entirely sure what is available, but last I checked Mason had blocks with open spaces at least in the Vale and then I think there was a lot of spots in other villages.

Thanks in advance for the help!

*Edit*

For anyone who comes across this in the future while choosing first year accommodation, I've decided to stay at Chamberlain. From what I've learned, most first year halls have a similar age range, so that's pretty normal.

I also realized that the maturity difference isn't as big of a concern as I initially thought. Unless you're a postgraduate looking for a quieter environment, you'll likely have a similar experience in most first year accommodation.

Thanks again, and hopefully this helps someone else making the same decision.
