My old robot vacuum worked well on hard floors, but it just wasn't great on carpets. It would leave dust and debris around the edges, and whenever it cleaned hair off the rugs, the mop would still get them damp. I always had extra cleanup after it finished.

That's why I bought the X12. I saw how it worked at a friend's house, and the carpet cleaning really impressed me.

It only arrived a couple of days ago, so I've only run it once. It's already a big improvement over my old robot. It spent more time cleaning along the edges of the rugs and had no problem picking up the hair and debris there. What I like most is how it handles carpets. It doesn't just lift the mop. It also covers the wet roller completely before going onto the rug, so nothing wet touches the carpet. That gives me a lot more peace of mind.

It costs more than my old robot, but I'd rather pay a little more than worry about getting my rugs wet every time it cleans.
