2025 CSE Graduate | 5.9 CGPA | Starting Again — Looking for Career Guidance & Opportunities in Hyderabad

Hi everyone,

I’m a 2025 B.Tech CSE graduate from Kurnool, and I’m currently in Hyderabad for upskilling and career preparation.

I want to be completely honest about my background.

I graduated with a 5.9 CGPA and had a few backlogs during my B.Tech. All my backlogs are cleared now.

The reason behind my low academic performance was a combination of health issues and the fact that I didn’t take my career seriously enough during college. Last year, I went through a health problem that kept me on bed rest for around 5 months, which affected my studies and overall progress.

I’m not saying this as an excuse. I take responsibility for where I am today.

But I also believe that my B.Tech performance shouldn't decide the rest of my career.

Right now, I’m in Hyderabad, focusing on improving my technical skills and becoming job-ready.

I understand that with a 5.9 CGPA, I may not be eligible for some MNC opportunities because of academic cutoffs. I’ve accepted that and I’m looking beyond just MNCs.

I’m looking for guidance regarding:

  • Startups and smaller companies
  • Internships and entry-level opportunities
  • Junior developer / IT roles
  • Companies that evaluate skills rather than only CGPA
  • What skills I should focus on to build a strong career
  • How to get that first real opportunity

I’m not looking for someone to give me a job just because of my situation.

I’m looking for an opportunity where I can learn, work hard and prove myself through my skills and performance.

If you’re a developer, founder, recruiter, working professional, or someone who went through a similar situation, I’d genuinely appreciate any advice.

If you know about any genuine fresher/internship opportunities in Hyderabad, I’d also be grateful if you could share them.

I know my past isn’t perfect. But I’m serious about making the next few years count.

Any advice, guidance, referrals or even a direction to focus on would mean a lot.

Thank you for reading. 🙏
