Okay so real talk I have been in Hyderabad 2+ years and I've officially run out of "new things to do." Every café, every event, every group chat feels like a rerun. (Near Kondapur and Gachibwoli)

I’m new to Hyderabad and planning a day trip this Saturday. I can drive and was thinking of an early-morning start, ideally somewhere within 100–150 km of the city.

Would love recommendations for places worth exploring — especially somewhere with nature, hiking, history, culture, or interesting local food. Happy to go a little off the beaten track rather than just tick off the usual tourist spots.

A little about me: M53, fit and athletic, enjoy hiking and the outdoors, introverted but good company once the conversation gets going. Well-read, well-travelled, a bit of a foodie, and always interested in history, culture and discovering new places.

For anyone not familiar, it's a super low-maintenance, community-driven silent reading meetup aimed at helping people unplug and get back into reading.

The setup is as straightforward as it gets:

• When: Weekend mornings (usually 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM)
• What: Bring whatever book you’re currently reading, put your phone on silent, and read quietly together for 2 hours.
• Vibe: Zero entry fees, no forced networking, no required discussions or assignments. Afterwards, there's usually a quick, optional 15–20 minutes to chat or grab coffee if you feel like it, but zero pressure if you just want to head out.

It’s basically a forced, peaceful two hours away from screens in a nice outdoor or quiet spot.
