Hey! I’m 25F and looking to meet some new people in Hyderabad.

I’ve realised lately that I want to put a little more effort into my social life, meet new people, make friends, and have more plans outside of the usual work routine.

Would love to meet people around my age who are up for coffee, exploring new places, weekend plans, or just hanging out and having good conversations.

I recently joined a company and it has been around 3 months now. Honestly, I don’t think there has been even one day where I felt happy with the work I was doing.

I was told I would be handling social media, but the process feels very exhausting. For every single post, it first goes to my manager for approval, which I completely understand. But after that, it also goes to the tech team for approval, and sometimes even the sales team.

We post almost every day, so this approval loop happens every day too. It makes me feel like I have no real authority or ownership over my work. I’m doing the work, but everything has to pass through so many people that it feels more like coordination than actual marketing.

On top of that, there is a lot of extra work. My day starts around 10 in the morning and I often end up working till 10:30 at night.

Before this, I worked at a startup for 2.5 years. Even though it was also hectic, I actually enjoyed my work there. Here, the growth feels very slow, but the stress is very high.

I don’t want to quit in just 3 months because I feel it will look bad on my resume. So I’m thinking of completing 6 months and then leaving if things don’t improve.

Would leaving a company after 6 months look bad, considering I stayed at my previous company for 2.5 years? And how should I explain this in future interviews without sounding negative?

I need some career advice because I feel a little lost about the next step.

I have around 2.5 years of experience in marketing. I started in a startup, so I got exposure to a bit of everything SEO, analytics, blogs, social media, content strategy, etc. Recently I’ve also been learning and working around GEO, AEO, understanding GPT behavior, search patterns, and how AI is changing discoverability.

What I really want is to move toward an AI marketing strategist kind of role someone who understands both marketing strategy and how AI/search systems work.

But I’m confused about:

- What skills actually matter for this transition

- Whether I should focus more on technical skills, branding, analytics, prompt engineering, automation, or something else

- What projects/certifications/experience would genuinely help

Right now I understand the basics of AI-driven search behavior and content optimization, but I feel like I’m missing the bigger roadmap.

Would love advice from people already working in AI marketing, growth, SEO/GEO, or adjacent roles. What helped you level up?
