Protest 2.0 Real Need of Hour

So my dear fellow friends and batchmates,

As we all know, the administration has decided to throw students out of the main campus to some bullsh!t Anand College… a decision that directly affects student life, academics, college life, and the overall college experience.

At this point, staying silent will only encourage more such decisions in the future.

Before organizing Protest 2.0, we need to sort out a few important things strategically:

  1. Choosing the Right Date
This is the most important factor. If our seniors are busy with exams or papers during that period, we will lose a major source of indirect support and visibility. The protest date must be planned carefully so maximum student unity can be achieved.

  2. Clearly Defining Our Problems
It has almost been a year for many of us in this college, and we all know the academic pressure students face. On top of that, the marking system and faculty evaluation irregularities have created massive frustration among students. Just like DSA MIDTERM & ENDTERM

Then comes ACMB. After Protest 1.0, the course-drop flexibility was removed, which was 10% pf the real problem. Either remove ACMB or ensure that faculties follow a transparent and fair marking system. Kahan leke jaaoge ye Marks 🥀

  1. Media Coverage is Absolutely Necessary
Without public visibility, this protest will simply be dismissed as “students creating noise.”

We need videos featuring hundreds of students together, addressing the real issues openly and confidently. These videos should be circulated through Instagram pages, LinkedIn, media outlets, and news channels.

If there is no media pressure, the administration will never truly acknowledge student concerns.

Also, Y-26 are about to join the college. If these issues start reaching social media at scale, it will naturally impact the institution’s reputation..something the authorities do concern about.

If the college does not have the infrastructure or resources to accommodate increasing admissions properly, then why keep increasing seats every year? Ek kaam kro faculty ko bahar nikaldo 🤡 aur unko krvao Anand College se travel🖕

I request all seniors and upcoming juniors to support this campaign.

Y-23 and Y-24 may not always be able to support physically due to endsems …but even sharing posts, helping through LinkedIn, social media, or using your network to spread awareness can make a huge difference.

The administration often announces critical decisions at the last moment because they know students become easier to suppress when there is no time to react. Isliye they chose 15th May so that Senior stay busy with exams, and these 500 students which are not that united will be doing nothing opposing the decision.

It’s High time, WE STAY UNITED 🗣️🔥

Humble Request to Y-26!

I know you all are stressed as the date is near for the counselling. But i would still say most of your doubts regarding the college , percentile, branch preference, clubs is mentioned in these two posts . Please go thoroughly through these posts, answering similar questions again and again is a bit exhausting for all of us, So I would request please look into these two posts for better clarity. Secondly Endsems are starting so, we will be not much available for your questions!

So lately, I’ve been seeing questions like whether getting ECE at 93%ile or CCE at 95%ile is possible, especially in the spot round.

First of all, let me make this clear: the spot round is basically a lucky draw, and it depends on two major factors:

1. Availability of Seats:
Every year, students join colleges and then later decide whether to stay or move to another opportunity. After the entire process is completed, some seats remain vacant. That’s why colleges conduct spot rounds—to fill those remaining seats.
No one can guarantee whether you’ll get your desired branch except the college itself, as they have the actual data of vacant seats.

2. Type of Students Sitting in the Spot Round:
Suppose you have a 95%ile and you’re quite confident you’ll get ECE in the spot round. But later, you find out you didn’t even get Mechanical. This can happen if students with higher ranks than yours also participate in the spot round, and the number of seats is limited.

My suggestion:
Don’t treat the spot round as a sure shot—treat it as a last option. Make a proper list of colleges and mentally accept that anything you get in the spot round is just a bonus or luck.

If you’re planning to join a college thinking, “I’ll take admission in August and then upgrade my branch in the spot round,” please avoid this mindset. Accept the branch you get in the regular round. Anything beyond that is a bonus. Otherwise, you may regret it or end up struggling academically due to lack of interest or alignment with the subject.

Once again, I’m mentioning that the last date is 15th May for candidates whose 12th results are not yet announced. There are chances the date might be extended, but still, it’s better to fill out the form if you’re considering joining.

Also, one more case I recently came across:
If you have above 60% overall but have failed in one or more subjects and are appearing for a supplementary exam in June, I think you will be not eligible to sit for regular round , i may be wrong, i will suggest you guys to contact the admission office. Or someone who last year had the same situation can answer.

Last thing I am seeing, many of you want to know about the future scope of branches and other careers perceived from them, so for that specially, Shrek Bhaiya has announced a weekly AMA with LNMIIT Alumni, the first one will be on 10th of May, Details will be announced soon, be prepared with your questions 🙌

Those who are considering LNMIIT as a backup option, or if you are someone who has performed decently in JEE but are unsure whether you will meet the 75% board criteria, don’t forget to fill out the LNM admission form.

The application fee is just ₹2k, and the deadline is 15th May (which usually gets extended due to JEE Advanced). Still, I would strongly suggest filling out the form. It can serve as a solid backup, especially for those who are confused about clearing the 75% board requirement.

You might regret it once the forms close.

I’m speaking from personal experience. I’ve seen people closely who ended up going to other private colleges that take admissions through donations, and later regretted it due to poor peer quality and dissatisfaction with the college environment.

Even if you have around 94 percentile, it’s better to have a decent peer group.

One more thing once the round 1 starts you will not have any option to join the counselling, it’s NOT like once round1 is over then again forms will be open!

Hope you understand what I mean.

Another Thing: I am not paid by anyone to promote this ! It’s just what i observed with my friends who did this mistake

CAUTION : This post is originally made by Shrek Bhaiya, the template he gave us last year, I am just updating the data and adding some points which I think needs to be updated, I must say KUDOS! to SHREK BHAIYA for this amazing detailed post. I am unable to write that much detailed post so i have used Shrek bhaiya's post for a quick reference , 2nd part will be completely written by me, that will be posted after 19th may. Currently we all are having hectic schedule due to endsems...

Anywhere in this post, personal opinions are of Mr. Shrek

FOR Y-26

🛑ADMISSION

🤜🏻LNMIIT accepts student based on jee percentile only, through seperate counselling on the lnmiit admissions website , there is no management quota , usual cutoffs are :- 97 for cse , 96 for cce , 95 for ece , 94 for cse dual , 92 for ece dual , 90 for mechanical ,85 for(bsc-msc AI) as the branch has transformed into a Btech degree, there are high chances of variation in the above cutoffs

ALERT : for those type of students who are in dilemma of 75% in boards, specially this college does not have 75% criteria so if you scored decent in JEE but failed to Clear the criteria you can still join the only relaxation is here the criteria is 60%

FAQ : A common thought you all will be having is about spot round, you all must be thinking if x branch is at y %ile in spot round then i will surely get it ,NO it is not the real case, it is completely luck based, institute will never disclose the no of vacant seats. so it is a complete risk

For Example in 2024 cutoffs were

CSE was at 97

CCE was at 96

ECE was at 95

So in Y-25 one guy was thinking will he even get cce on 96.5 percentile but luckily the seats were vacant and he got cse in spot, so spot doesn't confirm whether you will be getting the seats you want, similarly you may get a unexpected branch at your percentile which no one suggested (not like cse on 90%Ile) but yes 0.5-1%ile variation can be seen due to new branches,

🛑BRANCH CHANGE

🤜🏻Branch change is allowed here based on your , 1st sem sgpa , generally top 6-7 from a branch are allowed for a branch change , for ece and mechanical you'll need 8.5+ sgpa for a branch to cce/cse, for cce you'll need 9+ sgpa for a branch change to cse

🤜🏻Order of branches (general) cse>cce>ece>ai>ai&ds>cse dual>ece dual>mechanical

🛑HOSTELS

🤜🏻 Freshers will be provided with BH4 which is considered one of the best hostels , some rooms are going to be triple seater and some are going to be double seater , AC(ducts) will be provided in all the rooms. Beds, mattress, chair, table, personal almirah will be provided. Pillows , buckets and locks would be available at the stationary shop so no need to bring

🤜🏻Washrooms:- generally they are clean but it depends largely upon how you guys maintain it (floorwise), it's cleaned once everyday by the cleaning staff , shower is available with hot and cold options , urinals and commode are both available with jet spray , indian style toilets are not available if anyone is concerned

🤜🏻Some additional facilities of hostels are a night canteen , vending machines , table tennis table , common room , reading room , carrom board

🤜🏻Safety concerns:- make sure to lock your rooms before leaving to classes , while previous cases of theft are almost zero you never know , a previous case had been reported in the girls hostels (done by a student only)

🤜🏻In-time :- in the initial days , your intime would be near 9pm night , which means you must report back to hostels before 9pm night , however after a month this would be extended to 12pm , during fests and events it's further extended to 2 am , if you are a part of club , depending on the events organised by club , this intime can be extended for you if your club is rehearsing for the same

🛑MESS

🤜🏻You'll be provided with a mess inside your hostel only , the food is prepared by mess B which is served and catered to you in mess C (in hostel mess) , food is vegetarian except for eggs in breakfast , while it can't compete with home made food , it surely is more than edible , some particular dishes are not that good and that day people prefer to eat outside , let me know in comments if you want mess menu , I'll share it , breakfasts usually have one main dish , milk/choclate milk, fruits , sprouts , juice/tea , bread , egg/omlette, butter , peanut butter , jam . Apart from breakfast, lunch , dinner snacks would also be provided in evening

🤜🏻 Extra protein? While the cases of insects found in food are almost null , you can expect a few which can be counted on a hand in 4 years 😉 however mess is maintained well and follows a good hygiene standard

🛑Dress code

🤜🏻There is no particular uniform , you can wear whatever you feel comfortable or suiting to you , nothing much more to add here

🛑Library

🤜🏻 Collection: you can find all the books you would need here for your academic , you can also issue them to yourselfs , e-books are also provided if you prefer digital learning , while the professors also provide you with pdf of recommended books , you can always find their hard copy in the library if you wish , I won't recommend buying books in this age of piracy

🤜🏻 Environment: avoid sitting besides girls 😂 , they gossip a lot (telling from personal experience) , jokes aside it's quite in there with Air conditioning which provides a good environment to study , while it goes full during exam days (unless you go early) seating capacity is 200 ,and timings are 9am to 10pm, on other days it's mostly empty , during exam days timings are extended

🤜🏻 Digital library: to access the online content of library you can go to the 1st floor , I don't know much details about this part of the library

🤜🏻Others:- ACM , ASME , IEEE , grammarly e-journal subscriptions are provided

🛑CLUBS

🤜🏻Most clubs take in you on basis of a short intro(PI) and your interest in that field , let's see all the clubs in a short way , but before jumping in I would suggest joining atleast 1 club and no more than 2 clubs(for social life ) , clubs are pretty active here and accounts for the college life , it's not true that lnmiit doesn't have a college life , many people misinterpret infra==college life , protip:- make sure to learn the names of clubs and the name of coordinators for the clubs you want to join , failure to do so can lead to ...........(intro😜) , all these clubs are very active and hosts many events round the year , to college life dead to bilkul bhi nhi he idhr

♥️quizzinga:- having a great general knowledge? Join this club and flex your knowledge

♥️ Badminton

♥️ Chess

♥️ Volleyball

♥️ Cricket

♥️ Table tennis

♥️ Squash

♥️ Carrom

♥️ Football

♥️ Basketball

♥️ Kabaddi

♥️ Lawn tennis

💅🏻others

♥️C-cell : they are like your mummy papa in college , got any college doubt , can't find Shrek in college? Don't worry your c-cell mentors will be always there to help you out , reach out to them , be it any sort of doubt, academic or non academic they will be there , in your initial 2 weeks they will guide you how to spend your time in college , they will give you their own tips from their experience , organize events for you and most importantly care for you , if you ever felt you are being ragged inform to c-cell asap and they'll handle it from there

♥️Ted-x : ever listened about what is TED? our college is lucky enough to have a TED event hosted every year by the ted-x body

♥️COSHA: a student body to ensure the proper functioning of mess , hostel and academic blocks

♥️Google-developer-student-club: another club for highly skilled people , make sure to join if you are interested in development and coding , it is affiliated with Google , big names and big opportunities

Ohhhh , this was a long section and they say college life is zero

🛑EVENTS and FESTS

There are so many events around the year , February to march might feel a bit boring , but apart from that something is always going on

The three fests are :- VIVACITY (Cultural fest) DESPORTIVOS (sports fest) , PLINTH (tech fest) , I won't give the spoilers , enjoy once you are here , these clubs , events and fests are a tight slap to all those outsiders saying "lnmiit me placement ke alawa kuch he hi nhi , bilkul dead college he"

As for events:- I'll have to use etc. there are so many , I'll just name all I can recall

Make a meal , janmastmi , dandiya night , lots of speakers events, club intro , duologue , treasure hunt , photowalk , gusto , rubaroo (freshers party) , unofficial freshers , lohri , saraswati pooja , razzmatazz , mudra , hunkaar , vogue , kalakriti , pixels , rap battle , band battle , tatoo tales , eclectic , afreen , family feud , holi ,diwali , book fair , freshers got talent , icebreaker , eSports events , inter college sports events , coderush , mozhacks ,lnmhacks , alumni events , idea hackathon ,e summit , graffiti wall, roborace , robowar, RC plane show , auto show , torque , workshops, industry visits etc etc etc

🛑THINGS TO BRING

🤜🏻If you are from cse/cce/ece make sure to bring a high end laptop, cause you never know what domain you'll be entering , 16Gb RAM , 13th gen , Intel 13H series/Ryzen 7 , dedicated graphic card is recommended , you can find such a laptop in 70-80k range , as for notes making you can bring a tab or notebook whatever you prefer

🤜🏻15-20 jodi kapde for boys , 40-50 jodi kapde for girls 🤪 , fests and events ke liye kuch acche kapde rakh lena , traditionals too , shoes and slippers , perfumes for non bath days , soap , shampoo detergent wagera stationary me mil jaayega , hangers , socks , blankets , ghar se kuch snacks , admit card , seat acceptance letter , 12th docs , fee receipts , aadhar , pan , photos , mail cutter , belt , umbrella , watch , extra pair of spectacles , wallet , stationary , pen drive (minimum 32gb) , first aid kit and most importantly dimaag

🛑 placements

🤜🏻 Statistics:- the stats on website are correct and the same is communicated to AICTE , the numbers for 2026 are 13.13 overall average, 12.00 overall median , , i don't know branchwise , it will be updated on website , placement percentage is 80+ this year .

🤜🏻Core opportunities?:- for mechanical core companies comes , however for ece core companies are very limited and maximum students are placed in tech profiles only , so make sure you code alongwith your branch , it's a plus point that almost all companies allow ece to sit in placement rounds

🤜🏻transparency:- college is transparent with these statistics , it's updated on websites , and student wise statistics is also shared in documents shared by college

🤜🏻Cheating?:- because of a low batch size everyone is monitored, so cheating in OAs is a tough thing to do , cases had been there but minimum , so don't worry placements will depend on your skills not luck

🛑Internships and projects

🤜🏻While the placement records of the college are excellent , it lacks a bit to offer internships in third year , placement percentage is 90+ but internship percentage in third year is just 30-40, if we include offcampus then internship percentage would be around 70 , the new training and placement general manager is quite experienced having previous experience in placement cell of BIT mesra and known to bring top names in a tier 3+ college , so I'm just being optimistic here that internship culture might develop in future

🤜🏻as for projects , there are MOUs signed with different universities and companies , you can work under professors , research collaborations are with normandie university france , san diego university, Purdue University, HPCL , texas instruments , NTU singapore , NDHU taiwan , various nits and IITs , then there is LUSIP (it's a summer internship program with research opportunities on projects) , every year around 60-100 projects are issued on which you can work under professors who supervises you

🛑 Infra and facilities

🤜🏻This is where the college lacks , while it's enough to support a student life , it's not something students would appreciate , anyways let's see what the college has in name of infra and facilities , definitely it wouldn't seem to be worth 30 lakh fees , but at the same time it's better than all government colleges atleast (except some IITs)

💅🏻 library:- already discussed

💅🏻 Academic lecture blocks :- let me know if I should share all the campus photos which would include lecture hall photos , so the lecture halls varies in size depending on which class is scheduled , all of them are air conditioned , with a wide board and projectors , boards are visible upto 10th row for healthy eyes , so prefer sitting in front

💅🏻 Bus service:- there is a shuttle bus service , which runs on a daily basis for free of cost , there is a schedule according to which bus goes from college to city and vice versa , the city of jaipur is 10 km away which is the third con of the college , it takes around 30-40 minutes to reach city , you need to issue outpass online before going out , it takes around 30 minutes to issue the outpass , so plan your trip early

💅🏻 Stationary shop:- every basic need is covered in stationary shop , anything you would need in daily life can be easily found there , blinkit and zepto doesn't deliver here so this stationary shop is a saviour

💅🏻Food outlets:- there is a amul parlour which sells almost everything at affordable cheap prices , however hygiene might be a concern there , apart from that there is a juice shop which mostly sells fresh juice , fruits , cake , packaged items , cofee etc

🤜🏻 Then there is a cafe which can serve as an alternative of amul parlour with better hygiene standards , and prices are also decent , they sell cofee , fries , pastry , pizza , garlic bread and other things you would find in a cafe

🤜🏻 Then there is kravers , a restaurant , prices are okayish , with a decent variety and good hygiene

🤜🏻 Then there is 1st shop called CIBUS which provides you basic stuff like samosa, bread pakod, dosa etc..

🤜🏻 Then there is a non veg restaurant,CIBUS's 2nd shop it is recently opened after the protest it does have adequate options for non vegetarians.

🤜🏻 Then there is a laundry , which is honestly not so good , they wash your clothes on pay per cloth basis , a new laundromat has opened in campus that is much better than laundry

🤜🏻 Then there is LICAI , the lnmiit international centre of artificial intelligence , it will be operational by end of year , it's going to have a new modern library , new classrooms , research labs powered by various different companies , auditorium , incubation center , research programs in field of Fintech , data analytics and agrotech it's going to be something big .

🤜🏻 Then there is a medical unit , it's not so good , but decent for sport injuries and minor injuries , medicines are provided at free of cost , note that you need to show medical certificate approved by dr chand in order to get makeup labs, quizzes, exams and unfortunately he is quite honest not to take money and make fake certificates 😔 (i once got into trouble 🤪) , ambulance service is there , never found it running though 🤪

🤜🏻Guest house:- available all days for parent stay except during your first semester initial days because of the reason to avoid overcrowding and lack of space , rooms are decent but not at all something you would except like in hotels , it's just liveable , they charge on per day stay basis

🤜🏻others:- Atm , student activity center , badminton courts , Gym which is recently equipped with new equipments , cardio ke alawa sab milega and air conditioned he lekin small he , dance room , basketball courts , kabaddi court and kabaddi mat , squash court , lawn tennis court , football field , ussi field me cricket ka bhi intezaam he , table tennis , temple.

🛑Academics and Backlogs

Grading here is relative which follows a bell shaped curve , which means you are given a grade relative to how others have performed , an average score gives you a grade of BC which corresponds to nearly 7 cgpa , now the point is you must target 8+ cgpa , which is not so easy here , and accounts for fourth and final con of college , I feel eligible to tell how to get 8+ cgpa , the trick is quite simple and yet people fail to follow it , just have a 90+ attendance percentage and have weekly revision of your acads , make sure to be serious about acads a week or two before midsems , endsems . Try to Follow this all to get 8 cg at the very least (SHREK REFERENCE )

ALERT : I don't have 8CGPA😑

If you get a D grade in a subject you can repeat it in your summer break or in your odd semesters , once this grade is upgraded it won't be reflected on your report card , however if you get a F grade it can also be upgraded in same way but it will be reflected and that it was upgraded from F to a better grade which will leave a bad impression on employers

🛑 Attendance

0% attendance policy, yes you heard that right only there will be attendance in few lab subjects. But for theory no mandatory attendance needed(except for scholarships), Thanks to Y-23&Y-24(protest reference)

🛑 Faculty

Faculty is mostly chill for cse , cce and mechanical , some professors in ece are chill , some are egoist , as for their qualifications you can't question any of them , all are highly qualified phd holders from highly recognized universities , don't mess with any of them is what I would suggest

🛑 Scholarships and loan

Almost all banks recognises Lnmiit to offer a loan upto 10 lakhs and more depending on collateral, with interest rate of 7 percent which starts a year after completion of degree , however I won't suggest a loan more than 10 lakhs as it would be a overburden , come only if you can afford atleast 20 lakhs on your own

As for scholarships , let's discuss the small scholarships first , 60 top rankers in jee advanced and 97+ percentilers would be given a scholarship

9.25+ cgpa would be given a scholarship

BPL scholarship is there , you need 6+ cg to continue it , then there is vijay bhatnagar for girls

Now the worth it scholarship comes via assistanceship , you need to be a teaching assistant and if your family income is below 8 lpa then , 100 percent of tution fees is waived off , however there is a requirement of 8+ cgpa and attendance of 85 percent , for more details contact the college finance department

2nd part after 19th MAY

Sorry for the delay, once endsems are over i will try to help you out with more detailed post on individual topic.

Consider this a brief introduction of college and once again i would like to say this post couldn’t have been without Mr. Shrek’s effort 🙌

Ignore any typos😅

One thing i want to say, let’s make the posts interesting , every-time you post a question or post on this sub. There should be a meme reference unrelated to the post but relevant to JEE or Engineering. Let me see how creative is Y-26 🗣️
