The biggest problem is hiring managers think theyre psychiatrists

Theres the inhumane part of evaluating you for you. Theres personal assessment tests, probing questions, tricks like hiring managers showing up late to see how you react. This is even if you get to the interview. I have years of experience and they act like I cant do the job or you're not the right "fit". Who are they to determine the right fit? What sets you apart from the others? The truth is absolutely nothing its a luck of the draw. You can learn on the job. But you allude to this and its almost like a turn off. Because then they would be absolutely useless which they are. They only serve to power trip.

The show starts and ends with Jessie

I just finished a rewatch and came to this conclusion, Walt aside. I read all the what ifs and theories but the show starts and ends with Jessie being a fuck up. No matter what plan you come up with Jessie wouldve screwed it up. He fucks up constantly right from the start. He is supposed to handle the distribution side he fucks up to the point where Walter himself has to produce and run deals between Tuco and Gus. Hes supposed to get rid of the evidence he fucks up the body removal and leads the DEA to the RV. Jessie is given an out with bribe money to stop from suing Hank refuses and instead takes a deal to replace Gale (which leads to more fuck ups). He nonsensically steals from Gus, gets his friends on drugs, gets the woman he loved on drugs, and gets people in a 12 step program on drugs. He thinks he could tell an international drug kingpin how he can run his business putting Walt and Andreas family in more danger than they were. I could go on but the last sticking point was he was a meth head drug addict who was a rat.

That he openly threatened to rat on the one guy who was constantly covering up on the mistakes he made through being emotional, impulsive, and overall a greedy bastard. More than that Walt constantly saves Jessie's life. Walt couldve put Jessie in prison from the very beginning by ratting on him as Captain Cook which wouldve couldve made him lose everything given his relationship with his parents. Makes him clean up from his drug episodes multiple times. Saved him from the police multiple times. Saved him from drug lords when Walt barely had leverage. Saved him from both Jane and himself who wouldve lead him to a grave. Then has the gall to say "how can he (Walt) keep getting away with this".

Now on to Walt. What I love about this show is its parallels and ability to be meta in a gray world. One parallel is Jessies actual family and Walt. Jessies brother is basically Walt Jr. Perfectly normal but indirectly sometimes act out because he doesnt not get the attention of the favorite son (Jessie in both families) because they care too much about Jessie not being a screw up. The difference is Jessies family finally learned to call it quits before it was too late by trying to sell the house. I dont buy that Walt never loved Jessie. He put Jessie above EVERYTHING. The moment he refused Saul and Mikes advice of not getting rid of Jessie when he threatened to continue cooking and rat to the DEA just off spite is the moment he chose Jessie over his actual family. Walt shouldve cut his losses.

I cant say anyone deserves to be a meth cook slave like Jessie but he honestly had it coming to him and if I was Walt I wouldnt have freed him. Maybe Walt was trying to clean his slate as much as possible before the end but I find Jessie irredeemable. He only cared about kids as long as he didnt directly affect their lives. He never made the connection that what they were doing affected them indirectly as well even when it was right in front of him (the meth addict family with the child living in filth). Walt calls him out on it when Jessie goes to finally calls it quits being "pure" but still wanting the blood money. At least Walt is honest with himself at that point. Jessie is never honest with himself he couldve left at multiple points. He just makes poor decisions to the point hes unwanted by both the civilian and criminal world. Walt couldve gotten away from it all had he cut losses with Jessie but I guess then that wouldnt have made a good story.
