I awoke at 4am Sunday morning, hearing a notification chirp on my phone. It stated the final document was ready for my electronic signature. Hmmm. So opened the portal and at the bottom of my statement, there was a new tab asking for me to accept or deny the agreement. I clicked yes, and then it said congratulations you have completed the final step. Wow. Reality hit. I’ve been feeling a sense of detachment the last few days, and this was the final nail in the coffin on my 37 1/2 year career with UPS. I was kind of disappointed with management on Friday not really acknowledging or at least setting out a table with treats and taking pictures to celebrate the last working day for 7 drivers who have made UPS their life for 30 + years. The center manager briefly mentioned it during the pcm, and that was it. Goodbye.
