I just feel like I wanted to share this for those who have suffered a loss and may need to go back to IVF a lot later than you started.

Almost exactly 1 year ago we did our first egg retrieval. I have low ovarian reserve and had a hysteroscopy beforehand.

That time we were able to get 4x eggs which somehow became 2x embryos! We were beyond joyed when the first FET stuck. Sadly at close to 16 weeks, we had to make the heartbreaking call to TFMR our wanted baby due to severe heart defects.

After taking a break of 3-4 months for the initial grief to settle we went back to try and transfer our last embryo which failed.

That meant going back to egg retrieval 1 year after we started. Going back to IVF after loss is a whole other ballgame and has been incredibly rough. Many cries have been had.

We got 4x eggs again yesterday and they all 4x fertilized overnight! I know it's early days but I am trying to be hopeful. I also mention this as many others wonder how much a decline there is with a full year between retrievals. I was close to 37 first one and close to 37 now.
