Hey guys, I’m after a bit of advice.
I currently have
B550-A Pro mobo
Corsair vengeance 2x 4GB DDR4
AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU
I’m looking to upgrade my ram because I had an awful experience with crimson desert and RE9. I find myself not being able to run higher settings due to lack of RAM.
I have a 3070 GPU.
Is it better to upgrade to 4x 4GB DDR4 or replace mobo cpu and into DDR5?
Additionally, I’ve already planned out the new specs being
B850 pro mobo for AM5 compatibility
AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
Corsair vengeance 2x 16GB DDR5
What should I be expecting if I went plan A just add two more sticks of ram, and plan B spending around £700 for a new setup?
Thanks guys!
Edit: Plugging in every USB slot into my bought used motherboard crashes my peripherals so I’m forced to give up two of them at any time. I’m used to it after 3 years but just an FYI lol.
TLDR: 2x 4GB DDR4 to 4x 4GB DDR4 or new mobo, cpu and 2x 16GB DDR5
