I want to say that Serafina is stronger than Orrin in a fair fight, but the truth is that Orrin is actually much stronger than her, and by a significant margin.
Serafina might be able to catch Orrin off guard and land a hit on him. However, Orrin has one guaranteed advantage: his Ultimate Defense.
We know for sure that Orrin is capable of strengthening the defenses of others, but what about himself? How can he protect himself if there is no barrier for him to reinforce with his aura?
The answer is his own body. In other words, this defense is what guarantees that he can actually use his ability without being taken out after a single hit. I lean toward the idea that his aura creates a thin layer around his body that protects him from both mental and physical attacks.
However, because he works with a team, and because he would otherwise be vulnerable when taking over other people’s bodies, he chose to focus on strengthening his teammates’ defenses instead.
Overall, I lean toward Orrin being able to tank Serafina’s first hit. He might get slightly injured, but that would give him the opportunity to take control of Serafina and ultimately defeat her.
That’s just my opinion.
Hi everyone,
It’s been a while since I’ve seen anyone make a post predicting the next increases in the main characters’ levels, so I decided to make my own version. I hope you guys enjoy it!
For Isen, I lean toward his next increase being just 1 point in Power, along with an overall 0.3 level increase.
For Blyke, I think he will develop at a better pace. I’m leaning toward him becoming faster and gaining more control, so I expect +1 Speed and +1 Trick, with an overall 0.3 level increase.
As for Remi, I think she will make a significant jump. I expect her to reach 6.3 in her next confrontation with Ember, along with mastering her transformation into lightning. By the end of Part One, I expect another 0.2 level increase, bringing her to 6.5.
Her stats would then increase by +1 Power, +1 Speed, and +2 Trick.
For Arlo, the increase from 6.5 to 6.6 was somewhat small. Even so, I’m leaning toward him reaching at least 7.0 by the end of Part One of this season. I expect +2 Recovery and +1 Defense, bringing his Defense to 11.
Seraphina will also continue to develop, as I believe there is still room for her to reach at least 8.5. However, I’m almost certain she will reach 8.3 by the end of this part. I expect her increase to be +1 Recovery and +1 Trick.
As for John, I believe the season will end with him being the strongest among the students.
Going from Aura Manipulation to Channel Master is an exceptional leap by every measure. The story needed John to be weaker than Seraphina because of his psychological issues, but John is now mentally stable, and it’s possible that he will train under Cameron.
Reaching 8.1 after the training, and later reaching 8.3 to 8.6, is very possible.
I personally believe that by the end of the story, John’s level will be above 9.0. That’s still far in the future, but when we eventually get there, a 1.0 level increase would be absolutely insane and amazing.
That’s my take. I’d love to hear your opinions!
I was wondering why Orrin left working for the authorities. I mean, he has basically every quality the authorities would want in someone: he’s extremely powerful, at Level 8.6, intelligent, has extensive knowledge, and holds several degrees/certifications in fields related to abilities. He was also influential, having worked on several projects, the most important being Project EMBER.
I’m leaning toward the reason being Orrin’s greed. He seems like someone who is power-hungry and wants to be at the center of everything. So I could see him trying to take Jane for himself when he was working with the authorities, so he could work on her without their supervision. Obviously, he failed, and as a result, he was humiliatingly kicked off the project. This would explain his deep hatred toward the authorities and his desire for revenge.
I don’t think Orrin is like John, whose ability manifested late. He seems more like a high-ranking, authoritarian-type person who believes the world revolves around him.
I also think Jane will appear in Orrin’s memories, and we’ll learn what kind of interaction took place between them. I strongly lean toward Orrin trying to take control of her but ultimately failing.
It would also be really cool to see Jane show her power against the second-strongest character currently in the story, officially speaking. I know Cameron is stronger, but I’m talking about the officially established levels.
