I have an ~8 month old orange boy that I adopted roughly 2 months ago, and my boyfriend and I are taking a trip Memorial Day weekend. I’m having a really hard time finding someone I can trust that will come check on him twice a day. I’m a 28F that lives alone and I’m just a little concerned about using Rover, plus everyone is charging pretty steep for just drop in visits ($20-$50/visit). I found someone that can do once a day, and I’m just wondering if that will be enough. I have an auto-wet food feeder that will give him his food at his normal times and I leave dry food out for him too. He’s got a water fountain and clean litter box at least once a day.

I work from home full time, so he gets probably an above average amount of attention from me, but he is especially active in the morning before I start working, then around dinner of course. I’m just worried he’s not going to get enough stimulation while I’m gone, but I’ve seen on my cameras that he finds ways to entertain himself when I’m at my boyfriend’s/he sleeps every time I leave the house. Aside from chewing a couple thin cords, he’s never destroyed anything in my absence.

Open to any thoughts and suggestions here. I’ve never left him for a trip before, never owned a pet and need to ease my anxiety on it. TIA!!
