Honestly, it might just be my location, but the dating scene here feels incredibly disappointing. It’s like I keep running into the same kind of people over and over again.
At this point, what I’m looking for is pretty simple: someone who wants a committed, monogamous relationship, is emotionally stable, doesn’t rely on being high all the time, and can maintain a steady job. It sounds basic, but somehow it feels impossible to find. Most of the women I come across seem to be into things that don’t align with what I want—like non-monogamy, constant partying or substance use, or they’re dealing with serious personal issues that make relationships difficult. Many also seem to lack stability in work or education.
I’m not saying there’s anything inherently wrong with how they choose to live—it’s just not compatible with what I’m looking for, and that’s where the frustration comes in. I can’t tell if this is just a reflection of the area I’m in or if it’s more widespread. I wondered if it might be age-related since I’m 25, but even when I look at older groups, it doesn’t seem much different.
