Should I move closer to home or stay here?
Hello,
I am a 24M working within the Data Science Realm in NJ. Most of my work has been pretty boring so far as I don't personally feel like I have been challenged in this role. I have done some minor applying to other roles while keeping my current position because the job market seems awful right now.
I've been working for this company for 2 years in NJ and they've been very gracious to allow me to work in CA where I am from remotely. I've been very torn about this since I don't really like working remote but have been terribly homesick since moving to NJ. It's a very large company and I lose a ton of visibility by not working in the main office so therefore I do worry about the ability to gain promotions if I move back home.
I'm not sure if anyone can give me a straight answer but I thought I'd share my story here. There may be a few more details I've forgotten to elaborate on but this is what I have.
