Do you think a non-religious partner and religious partner can make it work? I’m a 26 F agnostic. My partner is 30 M Christian. We’ve been together for a few years and now we are discussing moving in together. Last night he came over drunk having a break down that kind of scared me. He wanted to show me how serious he was so he was holding my face the whole time making direct eye contact (I hate direct eye contact) making me even more uneasy. To sum it up he was saying that he believes in god and he knows I don’t but one day I will. He asked me to pray with him, I told him I can’t do that. (Side bar: I think it would be disrespectful to any religion if I participated in worship and didn’t actually believe in it) He started making these crying sounds when I said no but there were no tears and his face looked blank. This entire night felt very cult like and extremely out of out of character for him. He doesn’t usually get that drunk or push his religion on me. If we stay together can a non- religious person and a religious person make it work?
