Need help understanding this pattern (crochet tube top with mesh pattern from byrosie.shop)
I just started working on this piece (https://byrosie.shop/products/crochet-tube-top-with-mesh-pattern) but the instructions have me totally confused. For context, I’m using the same size of yarn and hook as the author used. The only difference is my starting chain was 24 chains. In the screenshot I shared, you can see step 4 says I should end with a total of 6 rows of HDC. But the picture that goes along with that step shows 12 rows, right? The second picture is my work, which has just the 6 rows, and it definitely seems like it’s not long enough. Is there something about the HDC that I’m missing here? Or should I just chalk it up as a typo and do 12 rows of HDC? I don’t want to share too much of the pattern but the next step goes on to a whole new section so the extra rows aren’t from that. I’m nervous about the top fitting correctly so I just want to make sure I’m doing the right thing since I’d rather not have to undo my work later. Thanks!
