Hey all, i’m looking to purchase an ESP that would be my dream guitar, i love everything about it except one thing, active pickups.

It has an EMG 81 in the bridge and I’m willing to give it a try, but if i end up not liking that then I would replace it for an active pickup that sounds similar to a JB, which i am very partial to.

Ive seen that EMG 85 & 57’s can sound similar because of their alnico magnet, also Seymour Duncan makes a few active pickups themselves. Does anybody know which one would get me the closest to a JB? Or know of any other active pickups that sound like it.

AANG: GEMINI

Aang is 100% an air sign, but deciding which one specifically is tricky. I saw a lot of other lists putting Aang as a libra, their argument being that libra’s are associated with balance and peace making. I think they’re focusing too much on the Avatars job and not enough on Aangs actually personality & character traits. Aang is goofy and childish (in a good way), libra is a cardinal sign so they can be chaotic & straightforward, meanwhile gemini is mutable and avoidant, they run from responsibility. Aang often throughout the story runs from responsibility, because he never wanted to be the Avatar, he just wanted to have fun with his friends. Gemini is also the most adaptable and neutral sign of all the zodiac, they can blend in like a chameleon, and a big part of Aangs back story is he had friends all over from each nation.

KATARA: CANCER

This cant even be a debate, shes literally the mom of the group. Shes also a very brave and strong character that is capable of having very deep feelings and intuition. Thats like textbook cancer, not gunna waste anymore time on this one.

SOKKA: PISCES

Sokka was probably the hardest character to decide on, mostly because of his goofiness and wit. You could make a solid argument for any of the air signs too, but i feel that pisces suits him the best. Pisces is mutable water, mutable signs are very adaptable and adventurous. Pisces is often compared to Aquarius because they are innovators and oddballs, they favor the more unique things in life, Sokka is not a bender so he has to adapt by fighting with his tools & wit. Sokka also has multiple girlfriends throughout the show, that screams pisces man to me (respectfully).

ZUKO: LEO

Zuko was also challenging for me, the 2 runner ups for me would’ve been Aries & Scorpio.
Aries matches Zuko on the surface, aggressive, impatient & reckless. But once we start talking about zukos character arc aries starts to fit him less, the positive side of aries is warmhearted, talkative & forgives easily. That doesn’t sound like Zuko season 3 at all. Scorpio matches Zuko more than aries because of its fixed nature, the character development during the end of season one especially reminds me of scorpio. Scorpio is powered by Pluto which is often a symbol of deep transformation, usually in a very painful way. However i don’t think Scorpio is aggressive enough to fit Zukos temper. So if we combine Fixed & Fire, we get Leo. This makes perfect sense too, Zuko is obsessed with his honor and earning respect from his father again, only to transform into a true leader and this painful transformation is exactly why i think hes a leo.

UNCLE IROH: SAGITTARIUS

This was very easy, sagittarius is the jokester of the fire signs, which on the surface matches uncle Iroh’s lazy and lighthearted humor, but when we explore his depth is where it really shows his true nature. Sagittarius often makes for good teachers & truth chasers, this would explain why he was the black sheep in the family, questioning the methods and morals of the fire nation from the beginning and traveling with the banished prince to help recover the Avatar, only to help guide him to his true destiny.

TOPH: TAURUS

I was tied between Taurus & virgo, but i decided that virgo is too detail oriented to fit. Toph doesn’t care about anything, let alone small details. Taurus is perfect, strong but slow. Also she’s just such a chiller, Taurus may be stubborn but they’re really just trying to protect their own peace and they are the poster child of lazy days in bed.

AZULA: ARIES

Aries is the sign of war, cardinal fire. Very aggressive and headstrong, but forgives and moves on just as easily. You could make a solid argument for Sagittarius because of her intelligence and how she plays with her pray, but her impatience & arrogance ends up being her downfall, much like an Aries.

SUKI: VIRGO

I also debated on having Suki as a Capricorn but capricorns can be brooding and quiet, much like a scorpio. Suki is much more talkative than a Capricorn would be but still has the earthy reliability and resourcefulness, so virgo it is.
