Help! Still Red and Raised 7 Months After Hair Transplant – Ridging/Cobblestoning/Pebbling

Hi everyone,

I'm 7 months post hair transplant and I'm a bit concerned about the healing.

I still have persistent redness, with a raised red outline where the grafts were implanted that almost feels like ridging. I also have small bumps around many of the transplanted hairs, almost like goosebumps.

Has anyone experienced this at 7 months? Did it improve over time, or did it turn out to be scarring/ridging?

Thanks!

7 months post FUE — possible cobblestoning (pebbling)? Seeking advice before contacting clinic

Had a hair transplant 7 months ago in Turkey and I'm concerned about the texture of my scalp in the recipient area. I took some close-up shots using a hair microscope device and they show what looks like raised grafts and significant flaking/scaling around the follicles — from my research this looks like it could be cobblestoning.

Before anyone comments on density — I know it looks sparse in places, but my hair is naturally fine and this is already a massive improvement on where I was before. Happy with the growth progress at this stage.

One other thing I've noticed is that under certain lighting — LED directly overhead or certain sunlight angles — I can clearly see the outline of where they did the hairline work. It appears as a reddish outline, where the scalp along the transplanted area looks slightly red and the skin feels bumpy. Not sure if this is the cobblestoning, residual inflammation, or just the nature of the transplant at this stage.

I've already reached out to my clinic and I'm waiting to hear back, but wanted to get some community input in the meantime. Has anyone experienced either of these issues? Did the cobblestoning resolve on its own or did you need intervention?

Also open to thoughts on whether the flaking could be seborrhoeic dermatitis on top of the cobblestoning, as I know that's common post-transplant.

Also added a photo under natural lighting too. Any advice appreciated.
