I was completely bald before my two procedures at HairNeva Hair Transplant Clinic with Dr. Go. Around 10,000 grafts in total, and the transformation is honestly incredible. My hair looks full and natural now. Very professional team and great care from start to finish.
My FUE hair transplant May 2026
I recently received a FUE Hair Transplant procedure by Dr Ahmet Murat and his sensational team. As of this post, I’m 6 days post surgery.
I’m 53, and was a self proclaimed Norwood 4/5. I started booking the surgery in November 2025 for May 26. In between that time. I was using
GHK-Cu (Peptonix), Minoxidil & Finasteride, both orally.
Great communication and information prior to surgery date. All questions answered without pressure or sales tactics. After I discussed my hopes and dreams, I was then guided to best scenario for what I have to work with.
Surgery day. Long day.
I had Exosome therapy early in the day, then back to clinic for early afternoon start for surgery.
2 doctors on site in my rooms throughout the afternoon. I have managed high blood pressure, so the Doctors were monitoring me constantly.
Donor extraction, very easy pain wise, so quick and precise work done by the team.
4350 grafts were extracted, sorted and readied for implantation.
All hairline measurements and designs were done and checked multiple times by both Doctors on site. Full discussions between us allowed me to full relax into the final stretch of the day.
FUE channels were a work of art, designed around my old hair flow and my traditional hairlines.
Total aftercare is well underway. All medications needed are fully supplied and explained, getting the timings right is important and for me, it was nice to make sure of this whilst there.
I have flown back home (30hr transit) now. Slight swelling in donor area which is normal,
Aftercare.. I have been supplying photos and updates to the team at the clinic via WhatsApp. Any questions I have are been answered quickly. So reassuring.
See previous post for extensive detail. In summary - got 4200 grafts in hairline, temples, mid and crown on July 22nd 2025.
Really pleased with the results so far. Can’t see it improving much from here, but I’m already delighted. Can’t recommend Dr Egan enough. I think it looks really natural and age appropriate (I’m. 42).
I’m on meds.
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my journey of transitioning from a standard transplant result to a more refined, natural look.
The Background:
A few years ago, I underwent a 2800-graft transplant here in India. While it gave me coverage, I was never fully satisfied with the aesthetics. To my eye, the hairline looked a bit "pluggy" and artificial—not the soft, natural transition I was looking for as I progressed in my career.
The Refinement:
After a lot of research, I decided to go for a refinement process with Dr. Tawkir, an FRCS surgeon here with over 30 years of experience. The goal wasn't massive coverage, but rather "fixing" the previous work.
• Grafts: ~720 (specifically for hairline softening and density blending).
• Technique: Focus on single-hair grafts at the leading edge to break up the "pluggy" rows.
The Photos:
Did my HT in Brazil. How is recovery looking so far?
i’ve been researching for months and honestly my head is spinning. i sent my photos to about 5 different clinics across different countries and the graft estimates are completely all over the place.
one popular hair mill in turkey quoted me 4500 grafts and said they could knock it out in one day. another place in mexico said i only needed 3000.
i also reached out to a boutique clinic in seoul just to see the difference in approach named modi hairplant, doctor was actually the most conservative and suggested around 2500, focusing way more on the hairline design and protecting my donor area rather than just packing maximum density.
it’s just crazy to me how there is zero standardization in this industry. one doctor says 4500, another says 2500 for the exact same head.
for those who have already had their surgery, did you go with the highest estimate or the most conservative one? how did you finally make a choice without constantly second guessing yourself? i feel like the more research i do, the more confused i get.
In September last year I had my hair transplant in the crown area with around 2500 grafts
That was my second op with Dr Bek
My first one I had around the front and mid scalp area in August 2024 with 3700 grafts
In total I had now 6200 grafts
Currently on Fin and Min
Very Happy so far with my progress and I can tell that my confidence is also back
I can recommend Dr Bek to anyone who is considering going to Turkey

I’m still planning for a top up 2000+ in a couple years
My 6 month progress
I first looked into Turkish hair transplants in 2020 during COVID. After years of debating and lurking this sub. I finally took the leap 6 months ago.
Norwood 5 Hair loss
Procedure in Istanbul Turkey
39 Year old male
Minor hairline movement and filled my crown.
Overall I’m happy with my decision:
-Turned the procedure into a secret vacation.
-The first 3 weeks of sleeping upright was hard.
-The first 4 months are emotionally really hard. People thought I was sick. Constantly wearing hats in public. Trying to avoid meetings in the office.
I wished more Americans shared their experience. People bash “mills” or these large companies in Turkey but I had a good experience. I knew no one who did the procedure before me. This reddit helped a lot. Thank you for all those who shared. Feel free to ask questions.
”Pimples” began appearing on my scalp approximately 2 weeks ago and became progressively worse. I saw my surgeon today and he prescribed 10 days of Doxycycline Monohydrate, 2x daily. Are my results permanently ruined or will the antibiotics fix the issue? Has anyone experienced the same?
I feel incredibly happy it is like I am on clouds LOL
Three surgeries performed by Dr Ted Miln of Dr Ted Hair Transplants in the UK. Combined FUT & FUE surgeries. Just over 300 beard grafts were also used.
Hey everyone, looking for some advice. I’m currently day 7 post-op from a 2700 graft hair transplant, with roughly 800 to 900 grafts placed in the crown.
Today was day 7 and the first day my clinic instructed me to start gently removing scabs. I’ve been following their protocol carefully, including gentle shampooing and using a fine-toothed comb parallel to the scalp after showering to help loosen scabs. While doing this in the crown area, one scab came off and attached to it was what looked like a small cluster of 3 hairs (photo attached).
There was a quick painful sensation for maybe a second, and I noticed a tiny pinpoint spot of blood afterward. It was not actively bleeding or dripping, it just looked like blood was there, and it stopped immediately.
My questions:
Seeing hairs attached definitely freaked me out a bit, especially since it happened in the crown where I had around 800 to 900 grafts placed.
Appreciate any thoughts.
Been lurking here for a long time and this community has honestly helped me more than you guys know.
After years of overthinking, I finally pulled the trigger on a hair transplant.
Crazy thing is… I genuinely wish I had done it sooner.
The whole procedure was WAY less stressful than I expected. The team kept things smooth, painless, and surprisingly chill. I walked out thinking, “was that it? I stressed for nothing.”
Here are my Day 1 results.
Now the long waiting game begins 😅
Happy to answer any questions.
I would like to thank #Estenove and Dr. Zafer Çetinkaya for this beautiful hair transplant operation.
