Currently 3.5 months post OP -> will it become thicker?

Hey guys!

Here are some photos of my hairtransplant, its growing in quite nicely.

Since my natural hair is super thick, the transplanted area still looks thin and out of place.

Will it still improve a lot these coming months?

3,5 months post hairtransplant

This is my result 3.5 month after hairtransplant

What do you guys think? I think i’m still lacking in density but its growing alright!

3 months in -> will it still fill in?

Exactly 3 months ago i got my hairtransplant.

I sometimes wonder if it will ever fill in, the hairs are still thin and have low density.. Or maybe i’m just impatient haha!

Anyways, what do you guys think?

First two photos are 1 week after washing off the scabs :)

2,5 months after hairtransplant

What do you guys think? Am i on track?

I feel like the thickness is not really there yet, but so far very happy with the results so far!

Second photo is a week after scab removal, i already lost some hairs there due to shedding.

From beginnning till now, 2 months later

Just hit the 2-month mark after my hair transplant, and I wanted to share a quick update.

Most of the transplanted hairs have shed, as expected, but over the last couple of weeks I’ve started noticing a lot of very thin, almost invisible blonde/fuzzy hairs coming through. They’re only really visible in certain lighting, but there seem to be quite a few of them.

Is this the beginning of the actual growth phase? Did anyone else notice these tiny vellus-like hairs before the thicker, darker hairs started coming in?

Trying to stay patient since I know month 2 is still very early, but it’s encouraging to finally see something happening. Looking forward to hearing your experiences!

2 months update

Just wanted to share my 2 month update. A lot of hair never fell out on the front and on the hairline so they are already quite long already.

On the temple areas its still pretty bald but i guess im still on the early side.

Note; sometimes i have pimples on my transplanted area (they pop immediately whenever i lightly touch them), is this normal? I’ve had about 5 now.

6 weeks post op - a lot of hair growth already?!

6 weeks post hair transplant and I’m honestly surprised by how much is already happening.

I had the usual shedding phase around weeks 3–4, but since then it has stabilized a lot. What’s interesting is that part of the hairline never really shed and kept growing the whole time.

Now at week 6 I’m already seeing tons of tiny black dots, short hairs and early growth coming through — especially in the front. I know this is still super early and density will take months, but it definitely feels encouraging.

I have naturally thick, fast-growing hair, so maybe that helps a bit too.

Still a long journey ahead, but for anyone in the ugly duckling phase: trust the process. Weeks 4–8 can look rough, but things can start changing quickly after that

Edit; I’ve had my transplant on march 20th 2026 in the Netherlands.

stabilized shedding phase

14 days and 30 days. Lost a lot of hair during the shedding phase.

Honestly, time flies! Its already been a month and it healed so fast!

Waiting for the real hair growth, when was the time you noticed real growth from your “new” hair?

Shedding phase in full action

Day 18 vs day 21 post OP.

Hair shafts falling out and it looks a lot thinner now - it sucks but i know I need to have patience.

A little red spot occurred, seems like an ingrown hair, anyone experience with this? I generally never have/had them.

Also, psoriasis started in my transplanted area (no where else). Moisturizing it daily, hoping it will go away soon, its very mild (photo 2 you see some light plaques).

Excited to see the final results in 6-12 months 💪

For anyone reading and wanting to do a hairtransplant, do it, its the most freeing experience ever. No more feeling the need to constantly cover up my forehead.

Shock loss in process?

Day 18 vs day 22

I notice a lot of hair shafts falling out after washing and it looks thinner now compared to day 18. part of the process i guess 💪

Edit: i have a skin disease called psoriasis, i have it mild on my scalp but i notice some extra irritation and spots on my transplanted area

Also, the red bump, seems like an ingrown hair, what should I do about it?

Hello guys,

Its now been 9 days and I’m entering the night for the 10th day after my hairtransplant. Everything looking fine and recovery is going solid!

When can i sleep on my side again? Was actually planning to do it tonight but i’m still unsure, my clinic is not at work at this moment so i thought i’d ask some advice here!

Thank you in advance!!
