Hi everyone! Looking for advice/experiences from anyone who had a 4 PM church ceremony. How was the overall flow/timeline of the day?

Our venue is about 40 minutes to 1 hour away from the church, so I’m wondering if that gap feels too long for guests.

Would a 7 PM reception start time be okay? Also, is a cocktail hour still necessary with that timeframe, or would guests prefer to go straight into reception/dinner?
