Looking for future proof update
Hi, want to get your opinion on this build as i am very outdated on current hardware specs.
I need an upgrade to DDR5 and a better CPU as i run my RTX 3090 on an i5-9500k...
Want to keep my GPU and PSU for now, this is what i came up with now after reading some builds and specs:
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi Edit: OK, thanks to you I will go with the B850 Tomahawk
- GPU: RTX 3090 24GB (already have)
- PSU: Dont remember but its modular with 1200W (already have)
Is there any reason i should get a Ryzen 9800 instead of the 7800?
I dont want to OC. I didnt include RAM as i will just buy the cheapest and fastest available when i need it. Dont need RGB.
I run a 4K Monitor already and maybe want to upgrade or add a 49" Monitor in the future.
Also im not really gaming anymore, but i want to be able ;-)
Do you see some immediate bottleneck here where i should just spend more money or you think its a safe build, considering to just change the GPU in two or three years?
