I don’t know much about pocket watches, so it was scary hearing a very loud click at full wind in my 1921 Elgin (left watch). That was about 4-5 hours ago. The moment I heard it I stopped winding. The clock seems to be running completely fine, and I gave it a few turns about 5 minutes ago and I still feel solid resistance. I got this beautiful watch yesterday, but I know it was serviced before purchased. Is it already cooked or is it ok?
