PTA mums getting me down

I (30) joined the newly formed PTA at my kids’ school around 5 months ago (it formed around Jan 2026). Things were going great, I was elected treasurer, we elected a chair and co-chair and secretary. We’d arranged a few events to get the whole process started and they were very successful raising around £400 each. As treasurer I was tasked with trying to get a bank account set up for our PTA, the process was rough and all online, so I struggled with the process a bit. The bank application process had only been going on for about three weeks as all signatories had to submit their information separately and I kept getting emails saying one or other hadn’t submitted the correct info. Once I realised it wasn’t working online I had asked the other two signatories for a time they could meet with me in the bank branch and neither of them got back to me. I waited about 5 days and scheduled an appointment for just myself that was about a week away. (So it’s been just over 3 weeks at this point). Well three days ago the chairperson sends a message on our group saying *she’s* set up a bank account. She has since left me completely out of the process adding the secretary as signatory, yet telling me she doesn’t know how to add me as one. I’ve been told I will receive “reports” of the income and outgoings of the account for my treasury reports, which basically just means I’m their paper filer instead of an active member now. I honestly just feel really upset and betrayed because the chairperson went behind my back, stole my role, and is now essentially excluding me from my position in the PTA and using me to just do the “grunt work” for them. I’m torn whether or not I should step down now because it’s making me feel really uncomfortable and I genuinely thought this would be a good opportunity to get to know other mums in the school. I’m feeling like I made a huge mistake somehow because I was supposed to be in charge of all money handling, hiring, licensing, insurance, and accounting, and instead I’ve been told I’m basically just a helper who files paperwork once every 12 weeks and can help put together decorations for events. I feel like I’m failing somehow if I step down, like I’m letting them win, but it also genuinely upsetting me being so obviously excluded.
