Picked up this 350 SBC 4 bolt main for $200 on Friday. I plan to take it to the machine shop sometime this week to get a full top to bottom inspection, cleaning and machining. On cylinder #7 got some slight scratches that my fingernail won’t catch on but can feel them. When I pulled #7 piston the bottom ring was seized and bearings were smoked. I plan to do a .030 over and make it a 383 stroker so I have to bore it anyways. Casting numbers is Flint Michigan, October 7th, 1975 and the stamp numbers state it was for a school bus in Alaska that made its way into an el Camino that made its way down to Texas and made its way to me. Those scratches won’t make or break it?
