Pneumonectomy?

Hi all, I’d love to hear some experiences for those that have had, or know someone who’s had a pneumonectomy. My dad has NSCLC, and had a successful lobectomy 4 years ago. They did not have him do any adjunctive therapy after, it was just the surgery and he’s been great since.

Same lung, just diagnosed with same kind and stage 1a it looks like, although one of the spots is apparently near his artery so that may make it 1b? Size falls into 1a though. He is pushing for a pneumonectomy. He doesn’t want to do this again, I can’t blame him. Surgeon basically said no outright, despite pulmonologist saying medically he should handle it okay and likely not end up on oxygen. He has an appointment with his heart doctor to confirm and his oncologist is reaching out to other surgeons, my dad requested to have a few more opinions on it.

So, if anyone has had it, I’d really like to hear your experience. Both from quality of life to recurrence, I just want a big picture of what this could look like compared to just removing the sections and doing therapies, even if it’s not positive. I’m looking for real experiences.

Thanks in advance.

Kitchen flooring under appliances?

Hi there, would love some feedback on my situation as I’m a DIYer. I’m in the middle of renovating my kitchen and have one wall that has existing cabinets which is the same wall as my stove. I am putting in new sheet vinyl and I’ve seen most people say to just run an expansion gap under but not go all the way, makes sense. However, regarding the stove, should I go all the way back? Or just cut a straight line and run it under, in line with the cabinets? It’s fully enclosed on either side with cabinets if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance!
