scalpers are hilarious.

They track the card vendor down, stalk his make and model, learn his license plate, air tag his car, follow him, circle the store like sharks, hide behind corners watching him show up, just to stand in line looking like the seagulls from finding Nemo so they can buy overpriced cardboard.

I kind of feel like my growth is stunted at Walmart.

It’s starting to feel like I’ll never move up. I learn as much as I can as fast as i can and do the work of 3 people most days. I’m not saying I’m perfect, but I genuinely do good efficient work. I’ve been passed over for team at least 5 times now. I’m tired of dancing for these people in these interviews and tours just to find out they chose someone else. They’ve been watching me work for over 2 years. They know I’m good for it. I’m at the top of their lists when they need help. I’ve assumed more responsibility than 90% of my store. Instead I see these new team leads come in and immediately start ignoring policy. It’s frustrating and discouraging. It feels like they’ve got me exactly where they want me and there’s nothing I can do to improve my situation.

I’m more than a little annoyed. Like please for the love of god get us a lock case for these cards. Yes this is pay for scan and we don’t lose money in the traditional sense but we are losing sales because of this. This is hundreds of dollars we could’ve made.

And this is the kind where if you disturb it, it’ll go airborne and make people sick. Like that’s bad.
