Can I press and have the WHOLE sample just PLAY?
Forgive the newbie question but I have looked and can't find an answer.
I have long wav file samples (some 5-10 minutes) I want to be able to load and then have them start to play and continue playing until the end. Ideally I'd have them play and then be able to manipulate effects like delay and such in real time turning them on and off while the sample keeps playing.
As an example on my old Roland SP202 there is a HOLD button . If that is engaged and I press the pad the pad stays lit and the entire sample plays it's full length. I want to do that.
I see there is a HOLD button under effects but that seems to only engage the effects.
When I load a sample it does LOAD the full sample but seems to only play the first few seconds. I messed around the the sequence thing and got more of the sample to play but still have to hold the pad down so it's engaged. I would REALLY prefer not to have make a sequence to play a long sample straight through.
So far I've tried the windows version of Koala. Tried to buy the Ipad version today but CC purchasing was down so will try that again later. can also possibly use the android version
Am I missing something? A hold button to play seems like the most basic and useful thing (I"m not making beats, I want to play my old cassette tape loops as WAVs and mess with them in effects to simply my Acid/Psychedelic live rig.
