Ok so this is kind of asking for advice and tips on how to worship or start a conversation but I also am seeking reassurance. So recently a lot of butterfly iconography has been popping up and I've been getting into it more. It pops up in photos, on jewelry, in movies, etc. For context i rarely go outside. It may be nothing but for me it seemed like a sign someone was calling. I keep getting angel numbers too which may be a different thing. I considered it being from spirits or something but upon looking into what gods like butterflies I discovered Psyche. I mean I've never really been interested or even heard of her until then but I feel like I am going through things related to her domain. I just left college and I'm having a horrible time adjusting and so much is going on which can relate to her domains. Actually a LOT of deities related to transformation and journeys have been calling like Hekate and (maybe) Kali as well as some others. I've been so focused on the darker aspects of transformation that maybe she is coming to balance it out? A lot of darkness has ruled my life which is probably why the "darker" aspects of divinity keep calling out to me but everything needs balance. I've been connecting with Aphrodite but not as much and I feel her but we aren't as connected as someone like Ares. So maybe its been Psyche all along? I mean I've been feeling like I'm missing someone like a god is calling and I'm not listening and maybe she is it?
Earlier on pinterest I asked her to keep sending me butterfly things there that is plain as day (not hidden or anything) and I asked her like 4 times. By the 4th time I saw a photo with a TON of butterflies and they were all purple (she feels very purple to me for some reason). Maybe I'm just crazy or something but each time I refreshed a saw a butterfly photo fairly quickly. I asked Kali for something similar but nothing... so maybe it isn't Kali at all? Well she isnt hellenic so that part doesnt matter its just background info lol. What do you guys think? I mean the photo with butterflies all over it felt pretty big but then again I could just be searching for something?
So if it IS Psyche then what? I mean I know how to contact gods but I'm unsure of her specifically. I barely find solid info on her that I trust from my usual sources and it seems she isn't associated with purple but purple feels so her so who knows. I'm just unsure of where to begin with her specifically as its hard to find a ton of info on her.
So my question is.... do you think these signs are worth looking into Psyche or do u think this is bs? Also what do you recommend about offerings for her and finding information? I already know the Theoi website yes. Thanks in advance everyone.
