Is this VRAM usage normal?

Hello!
I was wondering if this VRAM Usage is normal on EPIC settings, everything on, quality preset and RTX On, on a 5090 GPU?

Is this normal? Its not even 4k, its 1440p.

27GB of VRAM used? WTF?

Thank you!

Hello, guys!

I know that many of you already know this strategy but some of you don't know about this trick so I wanted to offer some help in this regard.

A good way to farm bosses is to have multiple characters on the same prospect (map) - yes, you can have multiple characters on the same map without uploading your main to the orbit.

In order to simplify things and not travel all the time between each biome, you can Join your map with each character you have and set up a small outpost in the respective boss biome.

The steps are simple:

  1. Join your map with your other characters.
  2. Go to the biome where the boss is located.
  3. Place a small outpost near the boss arena
  4. For eaach oupost you will need a simple 2x2 or 3x2 building. I usually take with me a Metal/Wood Cupboard, a freezer or a refrigerator, a bedroll to set your spawnpoint, a fireplace and a biofuel generator.
  5. Get everything needed for the boss fight (guns, ammo, bandages (heat/cold - depending on the biome), healing pots, food etc.
  6. Optional (You can place an Advanced Orbital Exchange Interface outside) and a Dropship Landing Pad (I usually do this because when my dedicated server is in lobby state, if i join the map with my boss characters they usually spawn in the main base coming down from the orbital station (even though they are not in the station).

After killing the bosses in each biome, log back to your main character and do your normal stuff. Depending on the respawn timer of the world boss (you can check that on the Contact Device), you can log again on your boss characters and repeat the process.

Good luck and stay safe out there!
